Lifewalk Trust rebrand
CASE STUDY
Support for all people
Lifewalk has been serving state schools for many years. They have been growing as an organisation, attracting consistent funding and passionate volunteers. With over 200 volunteers across schools all over New Zealand, it was time to give their organisation the tools to push into the future and serve schools even better than before.
|
The Challenge:Their main frustration was that the way they looked didn’t match the way they felt. Lifewalk wanted a brand that reflected the heart of their chaplains on the front line. Lifewalk is an extremely authentic organisation with sincere volunteers. It was very important to honour that sincerity in the work I produced for them.
|
Outcome:One Am Creative listened to the board and chaplains on the front line to articulate their story. The new strategy shaped the modern and flexible visual identity, collateral and brand new website.

Brand Strategy: |
Moving through the brand strategy gave Lifewalk the language and framework to express themselves clearly. This provided the platform to develop a complementary visual identity that supported the brand’s heart and future goals.

Paired with photography that captured that same heart, the project has come together with complete cohesion. I photographed four different schools from Manurewa to Whangaparaoa over four days to capture the heart of Lifewalk Chaplains. I was blown away by the heart these people have for the school and whānau they work with, and how much the school loved their chaplains. Here's a small sample of images from the shoots.

One key piece of work for the new brand was the website. We rebuilt the entire website from the ground up using the Squarespace platform. Following a strategic approach, we defined the different audiences for the brand, as well as the specific goals we wanted the website to hit.

I was worried that no one was going to understand the true essence and heart-beat of Lifewalk and therefore totally miss what we are about. I came into this reluctant that Alex could capture everything...and he proved me wrong 100%. From the first strategy session, Alex was very friendly, welcoming and easy to follow. He made each stage crystal clear and included homework to keep me busy and thinking. Each visit he made with a proposal and updates, he was calm and peaceful. Almost too nice for any push-backs, although he welcomed these.
During our photo shoot at four different schools, Alex engaged with the students, chaplains, parents and principals making them feel special. He made photography seem easy. Thanks to Alex, our website now looks vibrant, fresh and modern. Filled with relevant stories and voices that portray why we are Lifewalk. It was as if Alex has always been part of the Lifewalk family. Alex saw something in our new logo that none of us did at first and now we absolutely love it! My heart feels full seeing Lifewalk represented for what it truly is. Fa’afetai Fa’afetai Fa’afetai tele lava Alex.”
